This project was formed around the music of trumpeter Clark Terry who sadly passed away in February 2015 – a great opportunity to pay tribute to someone who was a fabulous musician, great Be-Bopper, and whose compositions are unfortunately too rarely performed, even if his talent and original phrasing style leave no room for discussion within the jazz community.
The repertoire consists of many of the St. Louis trumpeter’s compositions, but also of various standards he played during his long and very bright career.
Olivier Desplebin: Flugelhorn
Maxime Combarieu: Piano
Bertrand Couloume: Double Bass
Gregory Serrier: Drums
